Join us for an exciting 4-week workshop where you'll dive into the creative world of unconventional art materials and portable art! To start, we’ll explore works by artists who work in similar ways. In the first two sessions, you'll experiment with natural, recycled, and manufactured materials, mastering techniques to create 2D and 3D pieces.
The adventure continues in the last two sessions as you bring your vision to life by crafting a diorama-like sculpture inside a small box or container. Whether it's a real place close to your heart or a whimsical creation from your imagination, you'll transform your container into a mini masterpiece. Bring a container from home and mix and match materials from ACC with treasures you've gathered from nature or items from home.
Parents & Guardians, please bring food and drinks for your child(ren) as necessary.

The second half of the course will have students explore cardboard as a 3D material. Students will make relief sculptures and small, free standing, balancing sculptures. The sculptures will vary from abstract to pattern/ornamental, to representative.
To add color to their work students will decoupage and explore mixing and applying paint.
