Join us for an interdisciplinary fine-arts event exploring local history through the works of composer Edward Macdowell and poet Benjamin Hine. Attendance is open to all, with a suggested donation at the door.

Piano: Jansen Morehouse
Jansen Morehouse is a vibrant and passionate pianist who combines his energetic playing with clear musical communication. After finishing high school in Coxsackie, NY, Jansen attended the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Education in 2014. After a transition period, he moved to Basel, Switzerland in 2017 where he received a master’s degree in piano performance (2020) and in piano pedagogy (2022) from the Hochschule für Musik. He currently works and lives in Basel with his wife and two young daughters.

Tenor: Joshua Bouillon
Born and raised in Greenville, NY, Joshua Bouillon has had the privilege of singing across the United States and Europe. Currently based in Rochester, NY, Joshua is a professor of voice at Nazareth University where he teaches classical and musical theater. He and his wife Léa are blessed with three young children: Elina, Ezra and Micah.

Soprano: Léa Bouillon
Born and raised in southwestern France, Léa Bouillon is a debuting young artist. Studying under the renowned tutelage of Constance Fee at Roberts Wesleyan University, Léa took first place in the highly competitive 2019 NATS Eastern region competition. Léa also teaches a private voice studio from home, but her primary work for the moment has been the care and education her three young children: Elina, Ezra and Micah.

Moderation: Jonathan Palmer
Jonathan Palmer has served as Greene County Historian since 2020 and as Archivist for the County of Ulster since 2023. He is a 2012 graduate of Columbia-Greene Community College, Siena Class of 2014, and holds a Master of Science in Information Science from the University at Albany.
