Discover the expressive possibilities of charcoal with Monika Zarzeczna while creating portraits inspired by yourself, or a friend. Participants will learn basic drawing techniques, experiment with shading and contrast, and explore how artists use light and shadow to bring faces to life.

Summer Rec is presented Monday-Friday 9am-Noon, in partnership with the Village of Athens for children in grades K-6. CIT’s are welcome 7-9 grade. Drop in daily, no registration required. The Coxsackie-Athens School District will be providing breakfast and lunch daily, July 6-31, at no cost.

Participation is entirely free!
