Friends and students of history are cordially invited to attend the dedication of a new roadside history marker commemorating Athens' Brick Row neighborhood as a district on the National Register of Historic Places. A standalone facet of the Village of Athens, Brick Row is a remarkably intact window into our community's rich industrial past.

This new marker, awarded by the William G. Pomeroy Foundation, will be unveiled alongside a brief lecture on the history of Brick Row by Greene County Historian Jonathan Palmer.

Join us for this free, all-ages event at the Athens Cultural Center. Doors open at 6:00 PM with light refreshments, and the lecture begins at 6:30 PM. At approximately 7:00 PM, we’ll gather at Brick Row in Athens to unveil the new historic marker!
