Join Charles Bannon for a hands-on hat-making workshop exploring the art of Victorian-inspired millinery. Drawing on his professional theater experience in Albany and New York City, Charles will share techniques for transforming hats and everyday materials into unique creations inspired by a wide range of Victorian-era fashion.
Open to men, women, and youth interested in creating their own distinctive headwear.
Bring a hat or headband you’re willing to cut, reshape, and reinvent, and experiment with materials to create something entirely your own. A limited number of hats will be available for participants to use.
General supplies and a collection of materials will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring unique netting, fabric scraps, feathers, brooches and/or pins, and ribbon to make their own custom design, as well as any sewing tools and/or a hot glue gun.
Space is limited to 15 participants.
Youth must attend with an adult.
