2024 Summer Music Series
ACC launched its free Summer Music Series in 2024, bringing live performances by acclaimed local and regional musicians to the Athens Riverfront Park.
Celebrating the diverse musical landscape of the greater Hudson Valley, the series featured artists spanning afro-funk, garage jazz, Americana, and neo-soul while creating opportunities for audiences to discover exceptional music in a welcoming outdoor setting. Through artist Q&A sessions and open sound checks, local students and youth groups engaged directly with performers, offering a unique educational experience alongside each concert.
This concert series is organized by Jacob Miller, Executive Director of the Athens Cultural Center, with funds provided by CREATE Council of the Arts and the New York State Council of the Arts, the FairGame Arts Grant, the Athens Community Foundation, the Greene County Youth Bureau, the Avery Foundation for the Arts, the Hudson Sloop Club, and ACC members.
This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of The Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by CREATE Council on the Arts.
