For teens: 
Summer Film Class
Mail application letter describing your interest and providing a phone number and/or email address to Thin Edge Films, 405 Route 385, Catskill, NY 12414. 

Teens will work in small groups creating original short films.  Catskill film society will teach you the concepts of pre-production, will put you in the field to shoot and will guide you through the editing process.  Films will be shown at a private screening in September.
Maximum of 10 students.



Free Music Class for kids of all ages

Classes for Adults

Color and Painting, Featuring the Fresco Secco Technique
Saturday, July 22, 2006 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Class held at the Athens Cultural Center
Instructor: Marianne van Lent 
Cost: $50.00 per student. 

A painting workshop based on color relationships. Basic color theories and practices will be explored using techniques such as under painting, glazes, transparency and wet on wet applications featuring the fresco secco technique. The studio environment will allow for experimentation and critiques with group discussions of the student’s work. Gesso and plaster will be provided for preparing the surface of the support.

Classes are held in a supportive and calming environment and are equally satisfying for advanced or novice practitioners. Although Yoga mats and other equipment are provided, please bring a mat and blanket if you already have one.  Please arrive 10 minutes in advance, if possible.  Classes are $15 apiece payable at the beginning of class.
